SERMON RECAP:

Saul's reign as Israel's king is over.  David now rules over the nation.  He is strong, talented, wise, and noble.  He defeats the Philistines, captures Jerusalem, and brings the ark of the covenant to the capital city.  His great desire is to build a house for God, a place where God's presence will permanently dwell.  However, God has something else in mind.
God will build a house for David.

God promises David an eternal kingdom, an eternal throne, occupied by King who lives and rules forever.  All of these promises are fulfilled in the ultimate Son who dies and rises again. The Epic rolls on...
