SERMON RECAP:

2 Timothy 2:15--"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth."  Jesus is the grand, interpretive key to all scripture.  He is the storyline.  All subplots and backstories flow into Jesus and are fulfilled in Jesus. 

The historical record of Genesis tells the story.  So does the poetry of Psalms.  We see the story in the imagery of Ezekiel, in the wisdom of Proverbs, and in the parables of Luke.  The story is consummated in an old man's vision in Revelation.

The Epic is the ultimate story.  It swallows up all other philosophies, religions, and belief systems. Just as Aaron's staff swallowed up the staffs of Pharoah's magicians, so the story of God swallows up all others.  And the Story goes on...
